what's yours?

have you ever had the same experience when music takes on a distinct colour when you listen to it? for me, the uptempo beatles-songs are yellow to orange. brahms is located somewhere between blue and purple -- but happily melancholic shades of blue and purple. the counting crows are orangey-beige in my musical book. robbie williams is either blueish-yellow or purple. the soundtrack to kingdom of heaven is of a bright blueish hue, the shade of a late evening sky during the blue hour.

but very interresting. maybe I should try this, but I am not sure it will work out. Somehow for me there are no "blue" colors. Somehow it most of the time depends more on how they are used and and and

i noticed this a while ago that i associate certain bands or songs with colours. beats me why.

.. yeah . it seems to be a bit strange, still as i like to do some self experiments I will give it a try and wathc myself while listening to certain kind of muic during the next weeks and we'll see. maybe the beatles will turn out to be purple ;-)

also wenn du nu auch noch synästhetiker bist machts mir angst :-)
ich assoziiere auch keine farben mit musik
aber scheinbar biste in guter gesellschaft aleksander skrijabin tat das wohl auch :-)

ich seh die farben ja nicht, wenn ich die musik höre. ich assoziiere die klänge mit farben. und manche lieder klingen halt blau, andere rot und wieder andere lila. :-D
