what else? bingo night was on again. and we didn't manage to find out way home until 3.30 in the blessed a.m. which meant that my head didn't make contact with the pillow before 4 o'clock. and already four hours later, yeasterday morning, it was all, rise and shine. 'can someone turn of the light? my eyes are bleeding.' on that occassion, when i arrived at the office just a mere two hours later, i was terribly thankful to have a doctor daddy who takes care of his staff in such a nice way. jochen rescued me from certain death by exploding head when he brought around some of his tea.

what else? i met jude law -- like four times. ::cough:: sorry, relapse.

the semester break has worked wonders so far when it comes to reading stuff for my dissertation. of course i could have managed to read much much much more. i'm just a lazy bum, you know. but at least i am now of the impression that i have gathered enough material in order to squeeze one or two good ideas from the five novels i have read since spring. starting on monday, i have planned to make most of september and the last month in my office and write up my notes from said novels. we'll see how it goes.

and when september is over, i already have semi-fixed a few days with henning. never been to göttingen before, so i hope the weather won't be too shitty for taking pictures and doing all the touristy bits in town. really can't wait for that. and when that is that there's already the preparations for the next semester waiting in line. thank goodness i only have to teach one seminar. this time around i am in even greater luck, because i will be able to recycle half my material from earlier semesters and preparation for one session won't come up to 4 hours again. or so i hope...

till then it's holding hands time for friends with magisterarbeiten and reading through their texts. last week, one of the papers was already handed in. so that's one down and two more to go. and the good thing is: they are about interesting topics, so i even get a kick out of them.
