good music and...

andrea totally is to blame for it. and the beatles. of course. nobody forced them to make such good music. ok. and perhaps i have a hand in it, too. somewhere. remotely. anyway, listening to the white album, i couldn't help notice some similarities with two more recent songs. first there are the scissor sisters and then there is jet. and both probably have someone to blame, too.

scissor sisters (and the timelord -- i still want john simm's babies, but for a whole different reason than him playing a funky timelord):

a rather similar sounding 'don't pass me by' -- if you disregard ringo's funky drums (which are badass!!!):

so what is your verdict? did they steal from the best or is it my marbels shifting from here to the diamond sky of lucy?
