Well I am unsure if you are aware but there is a huge amount of period historical drama being produced at the moment. Primarily surrounding the Tudor time period. Henry - Elizabeth. Whilst Tudor history has always remained popular within the conscience of the British nation, but the resent explosion of popular materials even outreaches this fascination.

Pondering on this and getting into a historical social debate with some friends in the pub I have come to the fallowing conclusion. This period is very similar to our own period in British identity and history. Before you claim me to be mad, and finally giving into years of Caffeine and alcohol abuse listen to this.

The (British) Empire strikes back!

After missing the bus this morning I finally got into work, 5 minutes before opening time. Actually, come to think about it, running to work is becoming more of an everyday occurrence. Well… I logged onto the BBC website and found this interest article on the British Empire, and the shame culture. Personally I am not ashamed at all, but quiet proud. And if former colonial countries are constantly moaning I would like all the roads, railways, books, school, medical and financial aid we gave them back including stupid amounts of welsh coal and slate.

Referendum?

Well… It been all over the political agenda of the UK. Even direct action on a stupid scale has erupted in London. Members of the house of commons were removed, with a Liberal MP being asked to leave and was fallowed by a walk out of an entire political party. And its all over the small issue of the EU referendum. Yes… I know there have been disagreements in the past on the blog about this… interesting organisation. But I thought it might be of interest, and its nice to talk about something that directly affects us all as ‘European Citizens’ (Grits teeth).

Strange is it not, when you look at the map of Europe from One hundred years ago, from the power of massive and ever increasing states, we have devolved into a collection of minor powers united by our European Union.

The thing that makes me laugh is how everyone is claiming that Kosovo is a extreme example. Well… there might be major parts and influences but I am not sure how on earth you can claim that it is okay for one group of people to claim independence and not for all minority nations. I understand the trauma of the Albanian (Kosovan people) have been extreme within the last 20 years. But what about other stateless groups? How can it be illegal to democratically claim self-determination? 

Do you know what? Well, I suppose you don’t until I have actually told you. Actually that’s a stupid question, why do people say it. One second, am I talk to myself in the medium of blogging? Grrrr!

Anyways, how is everyone doing, was your Yule time good? Rita’s seems very good, although it’s not snowing here, it’s just terrible with fog and some rain. Really though, I have never been a fan of snow as over here it lasts about 2 days, melts and then turns into flooding and ice, and that’s about it! And I normally end up landing on the floor with various parts of my body and getting brusing. But it could be worse I could be in the western United States, *shivers at the thought*.

NO MAKE IT STOP! AHHHHGH!

It seems like its one of those days for a couple of people from across the continent!

Well… firstly, I hope that everything going okay for you and your Master work, thingy Germany thingamabob! Work women; don’t give into the temptation of American sitcoms or dramas or the horror of British culture! Fight women, make your last stand! FIGHT!!! 

My day involved a car crash, general collapse and the disintegration of my pub and a truly Stiwart style fall which included a dog, jam jar and a rather big wooden spoon!!!

I hope that everything is okay with you all. Everything is okay here, I am working hard but I am actually enjoying my job to some extent. Although I don’t think pub landlord is really my best choice of current career, I am sure that it will all work out for the best.

Right as you are all aware, me and France do not get on. In fact i think its the perfect example of what a democracy should not be. And guess who walks threw the pub doors asking for rooms 6 French people with as much english as i have outer mongolian! I mean at least know how to say hello properly not 'ELLLO'.

So with the basic french that was forced down my throat in school, I am sure you are all aware that the UK has a terrible reputation when it come to foreign or even native language diversity, i was able to explain we had a couple of rooms. Then it took about 20 mins to explain breakfast would be toast (uk version none of this thin french stuff). And now two are keeping me up with le shagging. All i can here is La bonque, la bonque, oui, oui ooooooooh Non!

Well at least i like one thing french, this song.

I know that you dont like hip hop. And the terror that your siblings have placed you threw. But this is a great track, and knowing your love of English medium poetry i thought you would like this. I think its great, and i love this artist.
