may i present to you a very funny blog supporting the sisterhood with entertaining entries. blogging against sexism, homophobia and the fashion industry, the authors are doing plenty good. my dear ladies, i give you the heartless dolls:

my feminist heart is very happy today to see such a blog in existence. to say it in the words of the heartless dolls: womanity, it's good for you.

i just received notice that in june the provider will switch the domain name from "blogkade" to "1on". which means that my two or three trusty readers would have to change their bookmarks. dammit! I DO NOT WANT THIS BLOODY CHANGE!!! I WANT THE BLOGKADE TO CONTINUE AS IS!

just found a gorgeous interview the young geraldine chaplin gave waaaaay back in 1964. even at only 20 years old, she was such a lady.

the third banana is a blog where the author, aaron neathery, is mainly concerned with the history of comedians on stage, film and tv. the past week, he has begun putting up comic strips that appeared in the newspapers from 1915 onwards following the time that charles chaplin had changed film studios from keystone to essenay. those strips were a clever way to advertise the films that were churned out on an almost fortnightly schedule and some of the manic speed of those early chaplin-shorts is nicely caught in the pannels. but have a look yourself.

and we have another round of pimping artists. not because i am friends with them, but because they are damn good at what they do. so, this round goes to Ivan Reneos and her ever growing blog of poetry. and because i took the "publicity shots" last weekend, you may have a first look at the pictures right here.
