shoes are a girl's best friend!

shoetossing doesn't stop. not for the die-hards. not even in winter. not in adverse conditions, like snow. so here's the latest sighting of shoefiti in leipzig.

sorry for the lack of colour. it's winter, as i would like to have you know.

last week on my daily journey to work, i came by a new sighting of shoefiti in leipzig. judging by the numbers of shoes a couple of football teams must have been the providers. it was a bit like running into a shoe orgy up a metal tree...

now that i've found a name for this phenomenon, it would be a waste not to take more pictures. come to think of it, in eight days' time, when i'll be in london, i'll keep my eyes open. chances are high that there are even more people there engaging in the arts of tossing shoes.

a new sport has hit leipzig. there has been no decision namewise yet, so you may either call it 'shoe throwing', 'extreme decorating' or 'i've seen this in a film once, let's try this out ourselves because tim burton is so cool'.

so here it is: the first photographic documentation of this kind of trend or god knows what this is supposed to mean.

edit: thanks to a helpful comment on the woophy site where i cross posted the immages, we now know how to call this phenomenon. 'shoefiti' or 'shoe tossing'. wikipedia has more on the subject.
